Our Mission Statement

  • To exert a positive influence on the cultural and social growth of the community through performance of choral masterworks.

  • To engage in community outreach by providing scholarships for Riverside students pursuing an education in vocal arts.

  • To foster and promote enhanced musicianship among the singers.

We are proud to be supported by grants from the City of Riverside.

A Short History

The earliest reference to a community choir in Riverside is in 1945, with the Riverside Civic Chorus. The Riverside Chorale grew out of the Civic Chorus in 1961. The word “master” was added to the name in 1980, forming Riverside Master Chorale. Later, a new chorale was formed in Riverside in 1999 to prepare for the Evensong at Dickens Festival. That group became the Raincross Chorale. The two groups have merged; we celebrate this joint history of choral singing in Riverside. The Raincross Master Chorale has consistently been awarded grants designed to support arts and culture in the City of Riverside. We are Riverside’s choral super group. Join us!
